Desmith is not worth a second round pick, maybe one of the extra thirds we have instead. Thompson gets protected in the expansion draft, especially after Jeff Skinner waives his no movement clause for the expansion draft.

Skinner isnt waiving his NMC, hes said it. Theres much better players to protect over Tage

Apparently the no movement clause is conditional and he can waive it for the expansion draft without losing it afterwards. If that’s true there’s no reason for him not to except to screw the franchise, which if he doesn’t want to leave would seem pretty counterintuitive.

How? Thats Minnesota's best prospect, highest pick, a good young forward, and the Sabres next captain

How?

How? Boldy + late first + cap dump and some third-round player? Ducks can easily beat this offer. Today the journalist who covers Wild the best said Adams is asking Boldy + Rossi + a couple of firsts.

Thats Minnesota's best prospect, highest pick, a good young forward (Dewar had 23 points in 32 games in the A), and the Sabres next captain. Its better than Boldy, Rossi, and the 2 firsts. Boldy and the highest first are in my trade to start

I take Boldy + Rossi + two firsts instead, if you want to add Foligno you don't have to cut the deal value, it probably won't cost a ton, even though they love him.

I'm assuming you're asking why the Eichel trade is hard? It's because no one knows what a disgruntled slightly-injured star is worth
