No leaf would want to play with Perry after the Tavares hit. (not that I personally think it was intentional) Other than that this is pretty reasonable.

By that logic, MacKinnon is better than both McDavid and Draisaitl because McDavid and Draisaitl are playing in a weak division, therefore their point totals are invalid

Yes it is, you’re saying Mangiapane’s point totals are inflated due to the bad division, and since the Oilers are in the same division, McDavid and Draisaitl’s numbers would be inflated as well
