Pretty nifty yeah

Seems they'd have to protect Jarry and Hill tho

Bit of a quagmire 😕

But he was waived earlier this year

Not sure what you're implying

Seems fair to say he has negative value ultimately

Nah protect Hill and let Kraken take Jarry if they want. There will be better goalie options available for them to select anyway

I get that he was waived but not a lot of teams can just take on an additional 6 mill in salary right now. Post expansion and free agency is a different story. On one hand he's showed a lot of promise considering the entire team didn't play up to expectations. On the other that's 6 mill for 3 years

Pens decline easily. They aren’t trading Poulin or their 1st. Especially not for a cap dump like OEL

His demands have changed. Said that Armstrong can work with whatever team and he gets final say. Not just working with BOS and VAN anymore

OEL>Matheson
Keumper>Jarry

There has to be some sort of payment to bridge that gap. It may not be both of those assets but it’s probably one of them. Especially for a team looking to extend their championship window for a couple more years

Matheson contract > OEL contract
If the pens can’t afford the three 4 million - 5 million dollar contracts on the left side, they sure as heck can’t afford to swap one out for a 7 million dollar cap hit. And they sure as heck aren’t going to pay to do it. Especially since they’d need to make room for POJ
