I like bringing in Lindholm, he's an under the radar player. He may not even be on the market if Anaheim trades for Eichel, so that will be interesting to watch unfold. Kampf adds sandpaper on that 4th line, I don't like the idea of moving him. Also don't think DeBrusk is much of an upgrade and much rather keep Kurashev and the cap space. If the hawks can move De Haan, they have space for Mrazek or Grubauer, which would be huge for the team's defense.

Zadorov can't skate and that's the end of that conversation. It's not enough to be big. You have to be mobile.

Bruins have no cap issues your right but they also have to resign . KREJCI , CARLO , RASK , KASE , HALL , REILLY , RITCHIE , FREDERIC . Resigning or replacing all these players will eat up all your cap space and then some . Debrusk has become a blacksheep in Boston no chance he returns and after being benched in the playoffs and regular season by a team desperate for offence his value is low . Iam a hawks fan and hope this never happens KURASHEV will have better numbers within a year or two he is only 20 yrs old , and is a 200 foot player . DEBRUSK has never been the same since the two concussion he suffered in 2018 he has become a perimeter player , he avoids the front of the net and does not go into the corners .

They have 31m in cap space. Kase won’t be back, Ritchie is a candidate for Seattle. So is a trade to push Moore on them, maybe using Ritchie lol. DK and Rask will take paycuts and Rask will be on LTIR when he signs. Reilly is iffy, depends on X draft and $.

    I like PK though.

You also have a cheap skate owner who does not want to spend to the cap . Its been reported that JACOBS has money problems by the way and does not want to spend money

Also letting Chara go was a mistake . Yes he is not the player he was . But he was one of the top 2 most intimidating players in the nhl . This was the first year ever that i have seen the bruins get pushed around and intimidated . Not even responding to big hits and cheapshots

Its an overpay really. Kurashev is more valuable, Debrusk is not recovered from the Concussions, just spinning the tyres on what this would look like.

Boston doesn't have Cap issues, I never said they did. This does indeed benefit your cap as PK has a much lower cap, and for a team going for it, allows you to add pieces that could actually benefit you whilst also picking up a valuable young asset in PK.

This is a far better deal for BOS then us but knowing Stan he would be willing to give DeBrusk a chance.

    I am saying they don't want Z.
They have been very clear on this. Guys have to fit the identity of the team.
Which means mobile defensemen who can jump up in the play.
What they want is guys who have size that can move. That isn't Z. Z is a pylon, little more.

"“We are all in alignment. We want to keep our Penguins DNA. High speed, highly skilled hockey. But I do think we need to get bigger and tougher. And guys that can play Penguins hockey that are big and ugly are hard to find. But there is no question in my mind that we need to get bigger.”

"But bringing Jeff Carter in and having a deep team, a hardworking team, a skilled team, a fast team … would we like to add a little bit of size? Of course we’d like to add some size and toughness. There’s not a lot out there. We’ll make adjustments. But if we go into next season with this group, we’re comfortable with that.

“There’s just not a lot of it (size and toughness) around anymore. The standard for a player to be able to play in your top 12 forwards has gone way up. There’s not a lot of guys that have enough skill, skate well enough and that bring that other element. There’s not a lot of it around. It is in demand. Teams that have those top guys aren’t going to part with it. If we can find it and the price is reasonable, we’ll certainly do it. But we’re comfortable with our team. We had a real good regular season and played well in the playoffs. That doesn’t mean we won’t look to get better. We will.”

This is the thought of the team. You have to be able to skate. It's not a debate. They would rather have guys who can move than a big guy who's a pylon.

Thats really a nothing statement, saying were comfortable with our team but doesn't mean we won't look to get better... Every team wants to get better and he said it himself size and toughness are not around much anymore. He relates to the skating for the forwards as you would want, his skating isn't the big issue, for us it was that he was always taking hits. He actually had the best GA/60 of all our defence with 1.90

You actually did mention the cap as one of the reasons this benefits the bruins. I guess you were reaching. I don’t blame you. There is no way this trade benefits the bruins.

Kurashev probably wouldn’t play for the bruins….so what’s the point? I think his value to the bruins is basically zero. Debrusk had a really down year in a weird intradivision season without a real off season and no pre-season. Without that outlier, his previous seasons had him scoring at a 25 goal pace. If you think don Sweeney is dumb enough to just completely give up on that player for nothing, given the circumstances of what just went on the last year, i guess there’s a chance you could be right, but i wouldn’t bet on it. The guy went to Harvard, and you would have to have a single digit IQ to make this trade.

No. Re-singing these players will present no cap issues. And hopefully they don’t sign kase or ritchie. Why are you putting players names in all caps? That’s weird. I think you’re making up a narrative about debrusk. Can’t imagine someone watching him consistently night in and night out and having that take.

Also letting Chara go was a mistake . Yes he is not the player he was . But he was one of the top 2 most intimidating players in the nhl . This was the first year ever that i have seen the bruins get pushed around and intimidated . Not even responding to big hits and cheapshots

Lol, no it wasn’t, he was a pylon. He chose to leave, they offered him more $ than Caps, he did not want to give up the C.

BRUINS were right not to give Krug 7.5 per but they should have gone after PETERANGELO . Besides MCAVOY AND CARLO bruins defence has no talent . All the rest are number 5 and 6 dmen

Nope, he’s not a LD where the need is.

He actually had the best GA/60 of all our defence with 1.90

they been clear on it multiple times man, what are you talking about. They aren't looking for pylons. They have to fit the system. Which is mobile defensemen who can jump the play. Which describes basically all their defensemen.

Grzelcyk no reilly. Heard of them? They didn’t have space for Petro. Seems like they were never in the running for him.

Reilly has been ditched by 3 different teams because he sucks defencievly he is basically a good pp specialist who is not remotely physical . OTTAWA , MONTREAL , MINNESOTA basically gave him away all of sudden he is a top 4 dman for you ??? He is 28 yrs old so he is what he is he had a career year 27 points . So know he is a super star wow the bar is lower in BOSTON

Talk about setting the bar low Grelcyk and Reilly are not top 4 dman . Just because the bruins have no depth and are forced to play players out of position does not make them top 4 dmen .
