Letang isn't waiving for Winnipeg and the Jets aren't giving up a 1st plus, for him.

Nobody seems to have the slightest comprehension of the value of filling the goaltending position for 6 years. Our current BACKUP goalie is better than Jarry, we have two better prospects than him in the system, and nobody else in that package is likely to make any impact whatsoever, let alone significant impact, on our roster for 2021-2022. The best element of that offer, the 2022 first, won't be in the NHL until 2023-2024.

I don't think Barrie signs unless it's double the term you have there.

So Jankowski signed league min last year and played like hot trash and then sat 50% of the rest of the season so you think he deserves a $300,000 raise why?

That’s a massive overpayment for Gibson. No goalie has ever gone for that much and never will. And what do you mean “futures” for Letang? Appleton is 25 and Beaulieu is 28. Not to mention this team with all of its injuries just won arguably the hardest division this past year. And that doesn’t really make sense when you traded almost all of our current futures for Gibson.

No thanks.

Letang is still a top 5 Point on the PP in the NHL. And makes very few mistakes on defense. Even if the Pens extend him for 2 more seasons and he takes just alittle bit of a hometown discount. It’s worth it.
