That's not enough for both Eichel and Reinhart.

Dach, 11th OA, & Kurashev would be slightly less than Eichel's value.

But Reichel, Seabrook and the conditional 1st aren't enough for Reinhart.

Also I'm pretty sure you can't move the 2022 1st until the conditions are satisfied from your first trade. You'd have to make the 1st in the Columbus deal in 2023, not 2022.

I’m pretty sure Tampa, NJD, and Vancouver did a similar condition on a trade.

I think its prob more than enough.

Reichel + 1st for Reinhart alone is massive overpay. Reinhart is likely going to want to leave also.

The only allowable asset in a Werenski trade is a legit young #1C. Absolutely nothing else. That sort of trade can be discussed for Jones, but not Werenski.

No one is counting the 15.5 mil cash that Seabrook is owed. No chance Sabres owners pay for a retired player....

Its insured, they only have to pay 20% of that. 3m doesn't change the value of the deals much as they've just saved huge on Eichels deal.

Reinhart likely gets more than a B prospect and a 1st with how many teams are interested in him, I see at least 3 assets going to Buffalo for him. & the fact that Chicago is dumping a massive contract to Buffalo in the deal as well (LTIR or not) negates a lot of the value of the other 2 pieces. It's not enough for Reinhart

I wouldn't be willing to pay that, Reichel isn't a B prospect, he's more a A- IMO and for my liking its far too much a reach for a guy who's likely to want to follow Eichel out the door if he wants a chance to win something. I also disagree that the LTIR negates a lot of value. This isn't a deal I would feel comfortable with overall.

An "A- prospect is someone that has a good chance at being a first liner. Reichel isn't that. He's likely a high end 3rd liner that can get some 2nd line minutes. But a 1st line guy is a far stretch.

LTIR absolutely negates value. The way it works is that it's not really "cap relief and Buffalo has to spend to the upper limit ($81.5M) in order to get that full overage. If they don't it's just a dead cap hit. The same goes for Chicago. So if Chicago didn't wanna spend to the upper limit, they're essentially just moving almost $7M in cap space, which absolutely negates value.

The general consensus amongst the organisation is that Reichel will be a top 6 guy. As for the LTIR debate, your correct they need to spend to the upper limit however I feel they are likely going to be going close with their contracts and the teams in the Eichel sweepstakes wanting to swap salary in most cases.
