Hence why he is on IR, technically he'd end up on LTIR if we needed the extra cap space.

Its not the worst Eichel deal I've seen. Dach and (2) 1sts is too much value but the fact you have taken cap and included a lottery protection makes it closer, Would probably have to make it a conditional 1st on us reaching the playoffs rather then a protection for us to do this deal.

You want Tkachuk you better be offering Eichel, adding Reinhart and loosing Tkachuk makes Calgary older and worse

Taking back 3 cap dumps seems excessive if all we are guaranteed to get is dach and this years first.

The first thing that would need to happen is Reinhart would need to agree to an extension in Calgary. It could be the case, but it will depend on the market for Tkachuk which will be pretty damn strong.

The question would be, does Calgary want to try and win now, or reload and get a little younger? I’m inclined to think the ladder unless Eichel is involved.

I wouldn’t be stunned if Calgary accepted it if there was an extension in place, but it would probably only be if he was the best player/ offer available and that will likely not be the case.

Tkachuk will be the second most sought after player on the trade market after Eichel.

Flames would probably decline

The problem is that the Tkachuk rumor is based on literally nothing, Shane O'Brien is not a reliable source for rumors at all. Only thing he's done recently is announce the Montour to Florida trade after it happened

My prediction with Chicago is that if Chicago is going for Eichel, then they are going all in for him and Seth Jones. They are likely going to want to have something to offer Columbus as well, so I can’t see them parting with two firsts , and if they don’t land Eichel, they will probably look at defenseman

Mind sharing what you feel is your view on Eichels value? You seem to have a fairly clear indication so please do share?

You could be right but I'm hoping thats not the case, I'm not high on the Jones trades, and tbh I'm not completely sold on the Eichel trades either. BUF fans with all due respect seem to have a mentality where they can get more than fair value. There is no doubt the return will be good compensation but (4) or (5) 1sts of value is way off the mark. Im hoping that if we don't go for Eichel we don't try and make a play at a big time defence man unless its franchise altering and they are a rare breed.

Bc i don’t feel like arguing with someone whose option i just don’t care about

We’ll see what happens

Well its a terrible offer, Reinhart doesn't come close to equaling out the value. If Eichel isn't involved in that deal then im expecting Cozens at the very least in there.

I can tell you right now, Eichel with Pat Kane would be a lethal combination, and if Eichel is healthy I think he turns them into a legit playoff contender and maybe ., cup contender depending on how they fill the rest of the roster ....if you’re putting a player of Eichel’s calliber on this roster, it’s going to add a huge dynamic to the Hawks. So I can see why they are interested.

As far as fair value, no team is going to want to trade for Eichel and then deplete their organization of depth

To me I’d say his value to Chicago would be five or six pieces..... Dach, Strome or Kubalik, Probably De Haan, and then a first and a second. Money wise such an deal works, and that’s gonna be the other part.

Buffalo is going to want to probably return a young center who can play in a top six or top nine right next w, a top six forward roster player, and a high first round pick as the package

Stop being such a wise guy, your on here calling BS on a trade idea and not willing to give a reasonable explanation. Thats not "know it all" bs, its common courtesy.

These are not argumentative points but more gaining better indications of other fan bases values and opinions amongst each organisation.

Im sure your probably a great guy/girl though coming on here and trying to call people out or discredit their views or opinions is no way to go about it.
