$7.5M in cap relief for a team that desperately needs it for a guy that just came off a serious long term injury and didn't look like the player he used to be? Good luck getting a 1st for that.

You're going to have to overpay to pry Werenski out of Columbus. They have no desire to move him.

I don't think Tarasenko at his full cap hit is worth much more than a 2nd. St. Louis could use that cap space. If they don't go for it, LA can go after someone like Palmieri in UFA instead.

What makes you think the Blues "desperately need" cap relief?

I don’t like the Werenski trade. You have to think the Kings are 4-5 years from the window of cup contention. If you add 5 years to Turcotte, Walker, and a top 8 player, I think it’s a move backwards. I’d rather roll the next few years without a legit 1LD if this is what it costs now. I also think better deals are ahead with the flat cap and all this space these GMs need.

lmaoo one bad year during covid coming of and injury still put 1 point every 2 games for having not been playing for 2 years your outta your mind still a top 10 RW imo and still amazing in his own zone as well you need to reavulate that trade it would maybe take instead of a package turcotte or Byfield to get it done as well as a pick possiably

I'm not the one that proposed this. I have seen numerous St. Louis ACGMs that propose trading Tarasenko for a 2nd.
