I don't think he wants to play here anyway, but what happens when you need to re-sign him and Sandin, and Campbell, and Lilly next year with no money?

Then you would be looking at the big 5 with really high salaries and having to find the bulk of your roster playing for just over league minimum with a flat cap.

I’d imagine you’d have to send nylander the other way with rielly and others for tkachuk and others. Can’t have 5 big salaries like that up front
