I’m guessing you will get Evgeni Svechnikov, or Vladislav Namestnikov, Calle Jarnkrok, Jordan Greenway, or Carson Soucy, Andrew Copp, or Mason Appleton, Casey Mittlestadt, Tyler Johnson, or Ryan McDonagh with picks/prospects so you pick one of them.

Name, Svech, Smith, Cholo, Lindstrom are the most likely players SEA will pick from (not in any particular order, the most valuable ones). Some Wings fans switch out Stecher with the 2 D, but I think Stecher will be protected.

The Wings C depth is lacking, and Ras might not be a superstar but he has better value than most of the forwards for the last few protection slots.

Wouldn’t doubt it, some people have no clue what they are talking about on here but I guess that’s why none of us are GMs!

Cholo and Svech are prior 1st rounders so I think some think they will be protected because of this reasoning, but their current development trend has them destined for oversees likely (not hoping for this) and doesn’t warrant a protection slot.

Smith doesn’t jump out on paper but plays that sand paper grinder role teams covet. Given the Wings won’t lose a quality forward anyways, we might protect him but if not that’s fine.

I think the mostly likely players picked by SEA are Name, Cholo, Svech, and Lindstrom. Smith I have behind this group, but that’s just because Name is more established and the rest have a higher ceiling (albeit if they reach it who knows).

Agreed. Stecher has the most value, likely could net us a 2nd rounder at the very least. We aren’t getting a 2nd for Cholo, Lindstrom, Name, Svech, or smith. LGD is a UFA so definitely not a 2nd.
