Why not? It seems like it's that right time, you guys really haven't performed for the talent you have. You guys kinda remind me of Toronto a bit, so much talent yet the results aren't there. I think there will be some wholesales changes by Tree living.

Ya think? I thought it was pretty fair. I mean we are getting the best player in the trade and someone who is still young who we can re-sign long term next year.

This is a very pot calling the kettle black moment. Philly is the absolute last team to be telling a different team that underperformed to rebuild. This is like me saying you should trade us Couturier for some picks and prospects, you know since the results arent there

Oh really?? It's the same? The Flames have been past the first round once since they made it to the SC Finals in 2004......once. Let that sink in for a second.

Now I know the Flyers aren't winning playoff series with the best of them, but at least we have had more success over that time, but were also the last team eliminated before the Conference Final's games. My opinion is that we are closer to being a contender than the Flames are, and with the Flames lack of success over the last several years, I think they would be more open than we would to trade Coots. Way more open in fact.

Your opinion is noted and I think both teams should agree that they both underperformed this year and should bounce back to playoff contention. We will be keeping Tkachuk

Oh I would want to keep Tkachuk as well, there's a reason why almost every single new AGM has Tkachuk involved now due to whatever rumors came out. Tkachuk would definitely be a part of my untouchable list moving forward, but if Gretz can be traded, anyone can be.

Ustimenko would have to be replaced with an asset we can actually make use of (goalies are not something we need at all in any shape or form at any level).

The rumor is from Shane O'Brien, he is an "analyst " at Sportsnet that has never once claimed an insider trade in the making. He just started a new podcast and is likely just tryi g to bring in traffic. There is absolutely othing of substance behind his rumor. He also clearly stated it like this "he might want out of Calgary."

You're kidding right? Markstrom is 31 and had a SV% close to being under 90% this year. You're telling me you can't use a goalie at any level? Who else do you have in your system? Only guy I can see with any type of pedigree is Dustin Wolf. That's it. Parsons blows, and have no idea who else they even have in their pipeline. Ustimenko wouldn't be a bad get, a good goalie prospect is always relevant in the NHL.

You sent Ustimenko to the Jackets, not the Flames.

Oh wow, yeah you're right. Columbus is stacked, I had the Flames on my mind because of the Tkachuk talk. You're right.
