From what I have read from Flames fans, it sounds like Dadanov would be more of a fit in this trade
They keep saying they don't want prospects or picks...but win now pieces.

Then Id draw something up with Dadonov with retentio, CBrown and LBrown. Win now pieces and a fixer-upper

Well hey now, Matthew Tkachuk probably played a large part in like half of Batherson's goals this year, he probably left him unattended in the D zone so you have to take that into account.

This was my first thought, if they want to win now with Dadonov, CBrown needs to be included. That's cause for pause, especially if Matthew Tkachuk is looking for that $9MM payday next contract.

You keep saying this and it is true but the win now pieces will need to be players of similar age / skill. The Flames are not looking for picks and 2-3 year prospects - but they sure as hell ain't giving Tkachuk away for 30+ year old players who will start regressing almost immediately. No Dadanov's Eberle's etc.

i think they may want win now pieces but at the same time wont want to mortgage 23 year old matthew tkachuk for 2 years of brown and dadonov, i think its pretty much young NHL calibre player + or bust
