    Additional Details:
Blues fans never want to trade Thomas, and I agree with them in 95% of cases - he's not a guy you want to move unless it's a forward moving and impactful notion.
I think Lindholm is one of those guys that moving Thomas for is worthwhile.

Stl dont give enough in that deal with Calgary. Lindholm is their number one center and Valimaki future top 2 Dman.

Thomas isn't untouchable, but Lindholm has benefitted from Gaudreau and Monahan. Not worth it to me.

Lindholm is more of why Monahan and Gaudreau are good this year, not vice versa. Monahan has also dropped off significantly and is hardly more than a 2nd liner. Lindholm should have about the same value as Tkachuk in trade.

Look at Lindholm before and after being paired with Gaudreau. He's fine, but not worth the cost of Thomas or Kyrou.

Gaudreau still drove the play. Lindholm never sniffed 20g 60 points before being paired with Gaudreau

Gaudreau drives the play for sure, but Lindholm is 200 ft RH centerman with an edge. He plays well night in night out. He's a first centerman for a lot of teams. Kind of a poor man ROR. His value is very high but not as high as Tkachuk for sure. Not a surprise for you, but I would give Kyrou for him, but not Thomas.

Lindholm is a fine player, but he's really a 15 goal, 40 to 45 point guy instead of a 20+goal and 60 points. I wouldn't give up Thomas or even Kyrou for him. Now if you want to trade Schenn plus a little something for Lindholm, I'm all for it.

This is because calgary has literally nothing else going for them offensively. Most of the best players work in duos.

Not a bad idea to try to add a guy like Lindholm. But in my opinion, any big shake-up should be about giving more ice to Thomas, Kyrou, and Dunn - trade the guys that are past their prime and earning big paychecks, try to build around a younger core over the next few years. I don't think the Blues can afford to trade away any more youth. They're in a pretty tough spot tbh. Can't tear it down because most of these big contracts were just signed and the team on paper is pretty good; can't mortgage any more of the future because after about 3-4 guys there is no one under age 25 that looks like an impact guy; can't compete with the top teams' skill and speed as is.

They usually work good in tandem, but the difference here is drastic. The better players around them boost their stats while they remain good solid players, but nothing special. Lindholm would be great in a Blues uniform, but for that price they should stay away.
