    Bunting and Oleksiak should get more than this. Its one thing to think that veterans whove made millions would take a discount to play on a contender or their home town team...but these players had career years and will be looking for more $$. I doubt Perry moves to toronto for the league minimum, either stays in montreal for cheap- or does a 1yr on a contender for more- how this season ends will play a big part of it.
    Hamilton over Reilly- this actually hurts you defensively and Sandin on your 2nd pair? yikes. If the idea is to win now- why trade Holl for picks? Congrats- the team still has major cap issues- and youve effectively made the defense worse and not fixed the goaltending.

    It's the best kind of cap dump -- move Rielly's money to be able to afford Hyman, and as an added bonus, you get a backup for Campbell who might actually be better. If you accept the premise that Hyman is a priority, it's basically the only path to take.

    You can’t use the caps for a “cap dump” lol we’re going to be right at the cap again this year.

    We’re not giving up that type of value for Rielly. We just don’t need him.

    Sell Kerfoot, Engvall, Mikheyev, Holl for picks (that no team will pay)
    Sign Hamilton and Hyman below market
    Add extras.

    Kerfoot isn’t getting close to that.

    Hyman isn’t taking a discount when the soft as butter didn’t let alone he probably walks anyways.
