Honestly, I'd probably take that deal. Hard to project what Tolvanen will be next off-season, but as of right now I'd take it.

Would love to have a Tkachuk, and Matthew scored one of the sickest goals I've ever seen against the Preds.

If I’m the Cats, I’d want Thachuk over Gaudreau

Who wouldn't? It's just going to cost much more.

This is a hard one for me. I would absolutely love Tkachuk. I can part with Fabbro and Arvidsson. Carrier has really stepped up which can allow Fabbro to go. Arvidsson is still a good contract but he isn't the little engine that could anymore. Tolvanen and the 2022 1st though.... Tolvanen and Forsberg are the only reason we ever had a good powerplay streak this season that helped propel us to the playoffs. Tolvanen had 4 game winning goals and seems to be finally putting it together. The 2022 1st will likely be mid-round as i think Nashville is still in no-mans land. Not good enough to contend.... not bad enough to be the bottom. Tkachuk also signed his contract prior to July 10, 2020 which means that his qualifying offer will be 100% of his base salary for his last season under contract ($9 million). I really like Tkachuk but with his production that's really steep. Negotiating him, Forsberg, and Ekholm in the same offseason won't be a good plan.

I think i'd have to pass.
