You could get more than that for Palat.

Also if I'm Seattle I'd seriously consider taking ABB over Gourde. He's great in Tampa, but can he really keep that level up in a weaker environment? I doubt it, hence that contract is fairly risky.

I'm glad I'm not GM of TB.

Next years situation looks horrible, not to mention the season after that with $47 millions tied up in 6 players all on the wrong side of 30.

This band aid solution have swept the cap problem under the carpet, for a short while...

He has potential too, but I see him more as a mid to bottom-6 guy.

ABB has top-6 potential in terms of scoring.

Marchessault, Verhaeghe...until they can reach that top 6 potential they first need to play in the other Florida team too lol.

I'd still take ABB before him, but Joseph's also a good choice.

Doesn't really matter, he's still got good potential in him. Even you've slotted him in the first line. If I'm Seattle I'd probably risk it. That or I'd take Palat. He's also extremely solid.

I'm a Stars fan and I can see quite a Robertson-esque player just there in ABB, just smaller version. He played a couple of games during 2019-20, and then a full year in 2020-21 and put up really solid results.

If Foote is available in the expansion draft, Seattle will take him sadly. Gourde would also be a huge loss and is arguably worth the money he makes so i think we go 7-3-1 and protect him. I say we trade Johnson to Seattle or Detriot. And i love the Palat trade I had mine the exact same, it works out for both teams very well.

Tampa Bay develops fowards like a factory Big young physical Rh shot defenseman not so much so let's take advantage of him

Because when he was up that's were Cooper slotted him. Can he do it in the NHL the jury is still out

Then ABB it is, but that's my opinion.

I'm willing to trust his judgment. If he sees him as a potential top-6 asset, so do I.

I'm not saying he won't but Joseph has been successful. He also had Vlad Namestnikov on the top line before. Decent player but his career has shown he's not a top 6 guy
