Habs aren't giving up a goal scorer that makes 4.25 for one year of Reilly

Any trade history to point to on 27 year old defensemen in their UFA walk year to point to for a return for Rielly? I see stuff all over the place.

Also, his point production has really fallen off from his 72 point season, which seems like a real outlier at this point.

His point production has taken a slight hit from the 72 Pt season, the season after 2 injuries at 2 different points in a shortened season is certainly the reason those, this last season slight drop from 72 is due to the Leafs miraculous in ability to score anything on the PP. To claim a 26 yr old is declining or his best years are behind him is plain old ignorance

His ppg went from .88 in the 72 point season to .57 and .64 which are 47 and 52 points per 82. A significant drop. Also, he is 27 and a pending UFA. I asked for comparable returns because I didn't honestly remember any.

I haven't seen any leafs fan hand him his next contract, so I'll let that speak for itself as far as "best years"

Lol leaf fans hand him his next contract lol, fans are morons, they think Sandin will step right in and Rielly won't be missed which is laughable. Moving Rielly is only in the head to acquire draft capital or prospects (we have none left) . Honestly ask yourself what would you be willing to pay for 1 year of Hamilton, Jones, Pietrangelo etc. That is Rielly that is his value. I am finding it incredibly hilarious how a year ago any leaf AGM sending a quality player with term plus a prospect and a high pick was never enough to acquire an expiring D man (because they're so valuable) to today leaf AGM are literally trading away a very high end Top 2 dman and are now lambasted with nonsense of how Rielly has no value due to his contract status

So, still no comparable return? I am honestly asking.

Not that I know of off the top of my head, I'd assume we'd have to look at TDL rentals which you and I both know can be so all over the place depending on team desperation and Dman available at that particular deadline

I think its tough year with a flat cap and an expansion draft.
