Love the idea of Zegras to BUF, but if I'm KA i'm not making this trade.

Zegras is a stud why would you trade him for a guy with a neck problem along with another potential stud?
It makes no sense

After mulling it over I’ve said I want the centerpiece of a Jack trade to be Eichel for 3OA and Zegras. If other pieces need to be moved to make it even then so be it, but this is what I need in the trade.

Correct. Anaheim was 2nd last this season. You don't trade package your best prospect and top pick when you're clearly rebuilding, especially when all this does is push you from 30th to 28th.

When Jack was Zegras’ age he was quite literally a point per game player in the NHL.

At every point of their development, Eichel has absolutely demolished Zegras production. Zegras looks like a real nice player that probably tops out as a fringe top 30 center league wide. Do not compare apples to oranges here

The one thing no one takes into account is that teams like LA, NY Ana to a lesser extent like that marquee big name. Doesn't matter what sport we are taking about. Don't think that Vegas another big name hunter won't be in on Eichel should Montreal knock them out.

I am not a Doctor nor do I have access to Eichel's medical charts or know anyone that does but I think the neck issue has been blown out of proportion and he chose to go public with it bc he wants out and the best way out when dealing with the Pegula's is to cause controversy see (E. Kane & ROR). It's funny that there has not been another word about it bc he was probably told shut up and we will get you out of here but he threw the first volley and mission accomplished. My bet is once traded the neck issue disappears.
Since you are a Leafs fan your going to tell me if this was Matthews you wouldn't want Zegras as part of the return?

I mean, from Anaheim's end, Zegras is already a marquee name.

And don't get me wrong, I absolutely think that Buffalo should be asking for a boatload, it just makes zero sense to do this from Anaheim's end.

He is a marquee prospect and that's why he should be what Adam's asks for whether he gets it or not is another thing. Still has to prove it over time.

Personally I think ownership should be ashamed of how Eichel and Reinhart's time here was wasted not only for them but the fans. Can't blame either for wanting out. They continue to hire rookies in coaches and GM's and my bet is Granato gets hired off a small sample of games. Since they got lucky with Beane and McDermott with the Bills they will continue to do it with the Sabres till they get lucky then say we know more then you the fans. As owners they are a dumpster fire but it's their toy so not much that can be done about it. End of rant...lol
