I may be mistaken but is Risto actually tough and gritty?

If that isn't another first round exit team I don't know what is.

LOL I really feel for Buffalo fans to be honest. They're some super loyal fans with an organization that keeps running that team in the ground, but yeah, they suck and Risto is one of the worst dmen in the league.

A. Freddy last yr was barely better than Jarry and the yr b4 Jarry was better, so it's probably a marginal upgrade at best, and any of that upgrade will be canceled out by trading one of the best defenders on the team (MP) for a sh*tty forward, willingly trading for one of the ~10 worst d men in the league (Risto) and trading for Zads, who also sucks (at both offense and defense) and letting SEA claim the best defensive forward on your team and one of the best in the NHL

Burke hasn't made good personal choices for 15 years. Physical teams are nice....but they have to be good players.

I see many Wood for Pettersson deals on this site with various throw ins ... I just dont understand why NJ would make that swap?

I would look at that Z trade. It seems to work for both sides although I'm not particularly high on Jarry, it does make sense.
