If fred is signing a deal like that I think the leafs would keep him. Holl in my opinion is worth far more than desmith, certainly to the leafs.

To leaf fans I've seen here, they've been doing desmith for holl plenty of times. Or have seattle take holl. I think desmith is an extremely reliable backup and wouldve saved the pens this playoffs if not for an injury. He's cheap too
