No not angry. We just generally, know our players better than fans from other teams. The same goes when we try to trade Blake Comeau for Jack Eichel.

IMO, Nill & Co will build the next Stars' decade around Heiskanen, Harley, Klingberg (if they sign him), Hintz, Robertson, Oettinger and maybe Gurianov. This makes it nearly impossible to imagine a trade with these core players involved.

Of course, they could be traded (see Gretzky), but only in a one on one hockey trade, or if one of these guys really wants out of Dallas.

Agreed, Miro definitely worth building around.
But maybe they dont wish to dish out that kind of cash... probably only way hed get moved.
The 8 per is probably light too.

What Im most amazed by is we trade Kakko, Schneider and a 1st for Miro, however we give up spokes on a wheel for Thachuk. Lol.

I think Miro will sign a bridge deal around the 6M$ mark for 2 to 3 years. I really do not see him signing a long term deal right now in a flat Cap situation.

But Miro and Fox would be so awsome to watch. I could switch team just for that smile

Spokes on a wheel??
Buch offers top line RW
Chytil 21 yr old C, with 2 yrs in league
2 young Dmen
Probably a spot for all four on the current Flames roster.
Let's be real, as currently constructed Calgary would be bubble playoff team at best next season.
Which is why they are looking at a rebuild/retool.

Tkachuk probably does not have the offensive ceiling Buch or Chytil have. Reports have Calgary tired of his antics, Buch will sign similiar deal, but cheaper and put up similar points.

Yes, spokes on a wheel.

Chytil is barely a center, hes one of the worst faceoff guys in the league. Hes not physical, and borderline defensively.
How will Buch do on a team thats been stripped of its 2 best players? He wont have Zib or Panarin to rely on there.
Libor Hajek has been tossed around endlessly as the guy who is left unprotected, thats all you need to know about him.
Jones has all the hype, but a defensemens growth is anything but linear and predictable. Potential, hype, sure.

Thats what youre giving up for someone who is essentially a star in this league. So, again, yes, spokes on a wheel.

A star yes.... but there are many, many stars across the league. If you meant, I would have to disagree, Superstar then you have a point. But I don't see Tkachuk as a Superstar.
Potentially yes. I have to admit.
But to consider future cap... hes 24 and makes 7 mil per now, with contract up in 2... that is a very expensive PEST in his late 20s and 30s

He has to be qualified at 9m next year. Its a sum of money the Rangers cant afford to commit to even if there was a shot to get Tkachuk.
