I love rust but he is most likely getting offered 6 mil plus from another team at the end of the season, so would you rather him walk for nothing? He's 30 and tkachuk is 23 and is also better than rust, also tkachuk can score 30+ with sid easy, he can put up rusts number and he comes with his strength and in your face game, that's a move that betters us now and in the future, and also ullmark has a .917 save percentage with Buffalo the past 3 years, that is ****ing crazy, jarry wouldn't be able to do thoes numbers and yeah maybe 4 is a bit much, could do 3.5 but it's better than signing a 40 year old rinnie or Anderson for 5 mil plus

I definitely do not think this is too much for Tkachuk. He's the type of player that everyone wants on their team: physical, skilled, and fast. He would be an absolute game changer come playoff time. I love Rust he's one of my favorite players, but his contract is coming up soon unfortunately.
