Thinking “Buzz’s Girlfriend .... WOOF! “.
If this is an actual offer would need at least 2 more 1st round picks and like an actual prospect

Don’t get me wrong, Hintz is good, as Lindell, but they aren’t the sort of pieces a team like Buffalo would be looking for IMO. I’d think Dellandrea would be a real interesting piece for Buffalo.

Lindell’s NMC might make trading him challenging, but does Dallas have the cap space with Miro needing a new deal soon?

As a DAL fan I wouldn't be too mad about that. Losing Hintz hurts but gaining Eichel seems very enticing.

Buffalo is trading Eichel and Reinhart to basically go back into a rebuild, so my guess is they're going to want more pick/prospect heavy deals. This would be a more appropriate albeit underwhelming deal if Buffalo was still looking to compete for a playoff spot.

Not 3 firsts and a prospect worse either. He was over a PPG this season.

I know he is going to be 25 in November!
Jack could play with a neck brace on and still be the better player.

Dellandrea's good, but compared to Hintz the two of them are like night and day. Hintz is already an established cost controlled top-6 C in virtually all teams in the league, Dellandrea has barely made his debut. Both have potential, but I do think Hintz is head and shoulders above the guy as of now.

I don't think Buffalo gets the return they think they do, but I also think they get a lot more than many of you think.

Also, let's not act like this was a full season. Don't get me wrong, 43 points in 41 games is awesome, but there's not enough of a sample size to suggest he would have kept that up over 82 games.

I suggest you watch Dallas games. He was top-20 center in the league this year, and he was also playing injured the whole year. Hintz is a beast.

Stil has not scored 20 goals in a season and is going to be 25!

I certainly wasn’t suggesting Dellandrea instead of Hintz, rather adding Dellandrea to the trade

This is light on the value side, but the bigger issue is that it fills none of Buffalo's needs. Lindell and Hintz are both "win-now" pieces that you'd want to keep if you're acquiring Eichel. A trade for Eichel should be centred on picks and prospects.

To be fair, he scored on pace to cross 20 goals in the last two seasons, but I agree with your overall sentiment. Hintz is a solid player, but as we both agree, he's nowhere near Eichel's level. I also think people underestimate how good Eichel is because he plays in Buffalo. It's more impressive to do what he's done playing in Buffalo.

Exactly what I said earlier in the thread and I think many people miss this idea when creating Eichel trades. They're going back into a rebuild.

Thanks for the suggestion l. Have seen plenty of there games.
But that’s trade is extremely weak!

A 25 year old who’s never scored 20 goals.
27 year old d man with a big contract
A middle 1st round pick
And a mehhh prospect

41 games injured and still put up those numbers.

Right, which doesn't make my point any less valid.
