Trades
1.

  1. 2022 5th round pick (SEA)
  2. 2023 7th round pick (SEA)
SEA
  1. Byron, Paul
  2. Chiarot, Ben
  3. Lehkonen, Artturi [RFA Rights]
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (WSH)
  5. 2021 4th round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Habs basically give Seattle Lehkonen for taking Byron's contract from them and for drafting Chiarot instead of Allen or another player.

MTL
  1. 2023 5th round pick (WPG)
WPG
  1. Kulak, Brett
  2. 2023 7th round pick (MTL)
3.
MTL
  1. Dunn, Vince [RFA Rights]
STL
  1. Drouin, Jonathan
  2. 2021 4th round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
This trade most likely end up being with Seattle as Dunn could be their expansion draft pick. Either way, it could still work with St-Louis as they are losing 20m$ upfront and need to replace those bodies in the lineup.

Drouin still has potential and needs a change of scenery. I'd like to keep him but he'll most likely request a trade.

Drouin to the Blues isn't happening. His style of play is antithetical to the Blues blue collar style. He'd be better off playing in a system that doesn't hurt his offense only style.

Hoooooonestly, why do so many Habs fans have delusions about getting something of value for Drouin? It's gotdamn bone-chilling at this point.

And what on Earth does this even mean? I'm utterly baffled.

"Either way, it could still work with St-Louis as they are losing 20m$ upfront and need to replace those bodies in the lineup."

You might be right.
In all fairness, as mentioned, this would most likely happen with Seattle taking Dunn in the expansion draft.
Also, you are correct, his style of play really ain't close to the blue collar style of the Blues but Drouin might just need those kind of players around him to give him more space to create plays.
I'd argue that blue collar isn't the 1st thing I think of when I think of Hoffman but they still signed him. (Ok, I'll give you up front that he's more blue collar than Drouin is but, you get the point I'm trying to make?).
But, hey, again, I think it's has more chance of happening with Seattle than St-Louis but I would completely rule it out. We've seen weirder things happen.

Hoffman was more or a less a replacement for Tarasenko just in case he wouldn't come back. But I'm thinking about potential lineups with Drouin and I just don't see it. Perron is on the top line who is the set up guy,but still plays a hard style. Thomas and Kyrou are already those fast paced players that dont need another guy like that. Drouin can still be an effective player in my opinion, just don't see the Blues as a good fit.

Oh, yes, you're right, it's SOOOOOO unrealistic to think that the Habs would get anything for a top 6 winger that averages 50pts per 82 games played since he's been in Montreal over the last 4 years.
Everybody know that 50pts wingers aren't worth anything in today's NHL.
I guess that every GM trading for these kind of players are idiots and that you know better then them.
Some of them are trading 1st round picks and top prospects to get 50pts wingers, how out of their minds must they be!
You should clearly contact them to let them know how crazy they are. 50 pts players are trash... :S

That's fair. I can respect that.

Oh, are we pretending he's just any "50-point winger"? And that he hasn't walked away from the team? And that this isn't the first time he's had a problem with management? Fun.

Anyway, can you explain the remark I highlighted in boldface. I honestl ydon;t understand what you;re getting at.

Jets have enough organizational depth on LD, so they aren't likely to trade for Kulak. They can get a depth guy on the market without giving up assets.
