Big swing for Jack

Team Explanation
*additional note: even if Eichel is hurt to start the year vegas proved they can roll with the forwards they got during the regular season especially.

To me, Eichel seems to be the exact type of guy Vegas would strongly covet. They’re in a win now window, they’re not afraid to make massive moves and move many pieces to do so, and they have young players like Glass, plenty of draft pick futures to sacrifice, and Tuch has enough term on his contract to be appealing to Buffalo along with no trade protection. Fleury i could see being dealt to an east team like Carolina and Buffalo could definitely broker the money and get the assets as well as part of a 3 way deal for Eichel. Eichel also wouldn’t have the added pressure of the captaincy in Vegas and would be entering what seems to be a strong winning culture.

Star 1C is the one thing that Vegas has yet to make a big splash on and it wouldn’t shock me at all to see him end up there somehow. Based on the fact they’re on the verge of elimination, i feel like if they do get eliminated or even don’t win the Stanley cup this year that they’ll even moreso be in the hunt for Eichel. Just doesn’t make sense for teams like Anaheim, Columbus and Los Angeles to be the main players for him when they’re still rebuilding pretty much.

Signed Reimer as backup G but also considered guys like Raanta or Broissoit. Hypothetically could see Vegas dealing Reaves for cap reasons but it barely works with him so i didn’t bother moving him yet.

Buffalo has many goalies that they can rely on. I don't think they need Fleury.

I think they would take him at 3.5M. Depends on the cost to them but I think it makes a ton of sense. Fleury is a great goalie who can help Ned become a star and take some of the pressure off him.

I wrote in the notes of the deal that Fleury would be immediately flipped to a eastern conference team as part of the deal, i proposed Carolina as a possible destination for that

Carolina would probably keep Mrazek first with Ned. But MAF wouldn't be bad for that spot. I had a 3 team trade where Eichel goes to Vegas, MAF goes back to Pittsburgh at 50% for Jarry and an additional 1st.

Even though Nedeljkovic showed pretty well this year, i think it’d really help to have a guy like fleury there to be a tandem goalie and mentor. Ned let in a few softies in the playoffs and that killed the canes against the lightning, having fleury is a good insurance policy and his postseason experience would help a lot too. Seems like a great locker room goalie too that the team would rally around.

I like that idea too, would fit the mold of what Buffalo would seem to be looking for as a whole Eichel trade

I just put glass mainly with his higher draft pedigree and being a natural right shot center, but could see Buffalo targeting Krebs too maybe
