What do you think boston wants more right now, Clifton or a second round pick?

Seems like pretty low value on that Reilly trade. Surely that pick would have to be upgraded to a 2nd, maybe more.
Plus does Minnesota really need Suter, Reilly, and Brodin all on the left side?

They don't want Seattle to take Clifton for nothing.

That’s not really nothing though. Seattle taking him means they won’t take something else. Do you trade everyone that isn’t protected? If they trade Clifton, same problem with lauzon.

The answer is...it all depends. If the choice is between getting 2nd while losing Lauzon VS losing Clifton alone. I'd take the former over the later. You get a 2nd round pick and a Lauzon redo. Lauzon is a genuine fringe NHLer and at 24...probably won't be much more than this. You can at least capture some upside back with the 2nd rounder.

Lauzon played top pair for the boston bruins when healthy this season.

Is that where you think Lauzon belongs? 1st or 2nd best Dman on the Bruins?

No. He’s not a fringe NHLer though.

Bowman is not going to let Nylander go for a late 2nd, maybe 2 2nds or a 2nd and a 2nd level prospect. He has to save face and would wait to see what Nylander returns like.

While that could be true, he could also cut his losses and take the 2nd and move on. He has a lot of contract to manage and is fast approaching the 50 limit. I wouldn't like to accept the deal but its something I could see Stan taking.

Though I might agree, it wouldn't be in the off Season unless the deal was too good to pass up.
