Why would Bunting sign so cheap? No thanks on Gledeninjg and Robertson is a big hope. Ho-Sang has been in the minors for such a long time for a reason...he's not NHL good enough

Dont think Ho-Sang being in the minors has anything to do with his skill. Glendening would be a great 4th line guy, got a few Selke votes. Bunting could be more, another signing could be slightly less, was just to fit in the cap. Hes not going for much more than that

No sense in Los Angeles exchanging a proven NHL RD for an unproven but good prospect RD.

Rakell is worth more than two guys who would be unlikely to make even our crummy team next year and a draft pick that won't turn into an actual NHL player until at least 2025-2026.

If Dvorak is going to play on your first line, he's worth more than expansion-draft fodder (a #3C and a third-pairing defenseman who are the two players most often predicted to be selected by Seattle) and yet another 2025-2026 future.

The idea is that Rakell has 1 year left as does Mikheyev, Anaheim isnt trying to have a great year, in return they get a roster filler in a transition year, a prospect, a pick and 6 million in real money off the books

As far as Dvorak goes hes only on line 1 because of his junior chemistry with Marner. Hes a 4 million dollar player hes not a superstar

I actually don't hate it from LA's perspective. Since Liljegren is expansion draft exempt, this gives them a quality prospect and lets them protect Clague.

"need to get rid of Engvall because why have a 4th liner who can score and defend when you can have one who is horrible at both for an ECHL guy in Glendening" - Half the leaf fans on this board

in this scenario he'd make 250k more than Glendenning while being 10x the player and over 2 mill in healthy scratches. Why would you run out a guy who cant even be a top 6 player in the AHL if you can avoid it simply by not signing him and keeping a much better player?
