No way on the Nolan Patrick trade, I think he's a bust. I wouldn't give 1 late first for him.

O wow so trading Eichel, 1OA, reinhart, and Risto with healthy retention (also MAF 3.5) nets 2 nearly failed center prospects in glass and Patrick, brendt Clark and Fabian lysell, 4 seconds, and two future firsts, both which will by late, and the only sure thing in Tuch. That’s really really really bad

I could probably swap one of the 1st for a 2nd but they are all pretty late 1st picks so I figured the 14th was worth more then 2 of them.

Glass has played well but hasnt busted through and the other had a major concussion. I am not ready to call either a bust. Clark is best rd in draft and lysell is definition of high energy player so I like both of them to help change culture here. Who knows if LV makes playoff s with eichel he's cursed every team he's been on since making nhl lol. If the leagues get back to normal late 1st rounders are generally good secondary scoring and character pieces. So i guess my question is this team worse then a last place finish and have less going forward.

Glass is playing 3rd line center on a stacked team. He should be feasting. Instead he’s putting up .33 ppg. Patrick is a buy low candidate, like really low. if you want high energy just pick Beniers and be done with it. He gives it every shift. Eichel’s problem is he hasn’t played with a good supporting cast. Give him a supporting cast and he’ll be in the playoffs right away. Late first rounders can be good role players but they are 50/50 (and that’s being generous) to make the NHL at all. Also the Sabres would be stuck with nothing but role players. I’m not digging lysell or Clarke, both could be good. But they are the only real return (along with Tuch) for Eichel, Reinhart, Risto, and one of power/Beniers? Might as well pack up the franchise (possible should do this anyways)
