Slepy’s got a KHL contract with no NHL out clause.
He’s also outside his signing window making him a free agent

He was on the reserve list, so I just added him. You can add Cairns or Brind'Amour.

As hard as it is to peg Patrick's value, Kassian has very little at 3mil. Patrick is still a former number 2 overall pick and is a low risk/high reward. PHI would need a much higher prospect and even then I doubt they want Kassian.

Why would the Flyers do this? There is ZERO upside to trading Patrick for a KHLer and 4th line grinder.

Nuge is a UFA for the first time in his career. Why would he agree to a sign and trade to Buffalo? Zero chance this happens

Patricks value is that of Yakupov's when he was traded to STL (https://www.nhl.com/news/nail-yakupov-traded-to-blues/c-282481580). It doesn't matter that he's a former #2 overall pick. All that matters is what he's done in the league since then and it's very little. He wants out. Philly and, in turn, the fans, aren't going to get what they think they will. He's going to be sold on the low, so getting Kassian is about as good as it's going to get for you guys.

1. Patrick wants out.
2. Philly isn't getting what you think they're going to get for NP. Yakupov's trade is the baseline (https://www.nhl.com/news/nail-yakupov-traded-to-blues/c-282481580)
3. Kassian is pretty much what your team embodies as a franchise lol. You'd be glad he's on your team.

If we aren't getting value for Patrick then he isn't being traded in a deal like this. He will be an add-on to a bigger deal for us. The Flyers definitely aren't the same style as they used to be. You can keep Kassian and his cap hit.

I don't see how. The Leafs have 4 players up front and then a bunch of bottom-6 guys. 3 guys on D and a bunch of nobodies filling out and no goalie. This Oilers team is much more balanced.

Okay, and what "bigger" deal would that be? LMAO. He wouldn't have the value to sway a trade in either direction.
