Once again, Carolina is not adding in any prospects or picks to take Skjei. If Seattle wants to take him, that’s fine. He’s a solid player that they’d bring back and be comfortable with on the second pair but at $5M he’s easily replaceable.

Pretty solid! Just a few thoughts, and I may be competely off on them, but just for the purpose of discussion...

I have a hard time believing that the Bolts would leave Cernak exposed. They're much more likely to go 4-4-1, otherwise they're left with Foote as their only reasonably capable RD (Though Serg can shift back and forth...). Tampa just seems like a team that's going to end up having to pull a Florida, and give up a solid asset to shed a bigger contract. I also think they expose McDonagh before they expose Cernak.

I think you'd have to retain to move Gio.

I can't see Columbus just letting Domi go for nothing, but I guess he's a year away from being a UFA.

I think it costs more than a very late 2nd to get Seattle to take Drouin over Allen. Allen's trade value alone is likely a 2nd+.

I feel like Nashville needs to pay more to shed RyJo. That's a lot of money to eat. Analytically, he's still solid, but the lack of offence for the past couple of years is troubling.

Are we at a point where Bishop gets exposed over Khubodin? Just thinking that he's been hurt and hasn't really played in the past year. Doesn't really matter either way I supppose.

Solid squad though! Love seeing these Seattle mocks look more and more realistic as we go along. Cheers!

Seattle has a better chance of the entire month of January reaching 90° than Cernak being exoised

An interesting offseason, thanks for posting.

I agree with a couple of the posters above, that Cernak is likely to be protected, and Carolina will probably let a player go and not dabble in giving up additional assets.

Montreal is interesting, a Cup run changes the logic for them, but how much do they value Chariot? That’s going to be interesting.

The Gio side deal is smart. I think if Sea retains 50%, they would be two assets coming back, a 2nd and a lower end depth prospect to help stock the pipeline. I don’t know the BOS farm system well enough to speculate. Would be a bottom 6 potential player. Young and cheap.

A McDonagh is easily exposed first
JBB hopes if a deal isn't made Francis takes that contract.
B JBB has looked for d help it's always the right side Cernak is their best at their weakest position on a very club friendly contract. Tb probably if no deal is in place goes 4x4 and protects 4 NMC"s Point Cirelli Sergachev Cernak Foote
Julien Brisebios hopes Seattle frees that much cap space and term for him
Last 2 tdl d-men gets BOGO and Savard both RHS

JBB Doesn't leave him exposed. They 100% leave McDonagh exposed over him given that they have Sergachev and Hedman on the left. His contract is less desirable for us. TB Needs $$ out this summer.
