So wait Philly gets a cap dump and picks for a bigger cap dump? Byron is maybe 500k-1Mil overpaid Van Riemsdyke is 2+ Mil overpaid for the same length of contract this makes no sense for the Habs especially considering we could just resign Tatar or go out and get a Hall or RNH for almost the same money.

JVR played at a 62 pt pace this past year. He’s about 2 mill overpaid and Byron is a bit overpaid too. The 2nd is basically a 3rd. Fleury is 22 and still hasn’t cracked the NHL

Fleury has been blocked by the coaching staff and should be with the team IMO. Weber Petry and Fleury is much better than Weber, Petry and Merril or Gustafsson (on his off side).

I always rated Brook over Fleury personally.

Montreal has proven that the only thing that matters is getting into the playoffs. So as long as they make a wildcard spot, why wouldn't the same team be enough?

You have to beat out Tampa, Toronto , Boston and Florida. And then WC will be tough too cuz the Metro teams are all good

Brook is a better player but he is taking longer to develop though this year he really stepped up his game. He is more likely to be a top 4 guy (hopefully top pair) but Fleury is further along in his development as he can and has played well at the NHL level. He is most likely a bottom pair guy with 2nd pair potential.

He ask for over 6.5 mil then they should let Danault walk, If it's under I think he stays

Id rather have 2 years of JVR at 7 mill (61pt pace) than to have Tatar at 5.5 mil and Byron at 3.4 mill (combined 9 mil). JVr's production indicates hes a top 6F

Tatar is already gone. If it's Danault or JVR I pick Danault

One of Danault or Kotkaniemi will play 3C and if its Danault, 5.5 mill is too much for a 3C
