Explanations:
Lose Kerfoot to Seattle - get Wenneberg for $1m less
Dermott for a 4th - Dermott isn't needed + 4th can come from anywhere, not necessarily Columbus
Rielly for Jones and a 2nd - Saw this on a Rangers fans ACGM. When McCabe expires, Sandin steps into second pair and Jones into 3rd pair. Second rounder helps replenish prospect pool.
Engvall for a 6th - Cap dump
Holtby and a 3rd - Canucks want to dump Holtby's salary, Leafs have room + need backup goalie. Third rounder helps get more prospects to extend cup window.
