I think the reason why its so obvious is it works pretty well for all the sides, isn't too complicated and everyone knows all these teams are desperate enough to get the deals done. Not fun or new but not unreasonable

Yeah, the only way I see this getting beat is for arguments sake LA were to put up byfield (99.99% not going to happen) or if the Ducks were to include Zegras or Drysdale with the 3rd overall this year (still not likely but not out of the question)...I could see either of those teams trying to keep Eichel out of Vegas; because with Eichel, Vegas is an absolute juggernaut and has to be the cup favorite year over year.

He's gone, that ship has sailed.
He needed to go to VGK. He was way to comfortable in PIT and frankly stunk it up way to many years in net letting in soft goals.
I just don't see him being back.

I mean in this case VGK taking on one of Pits big time contracts with term is working as the salary retention. For a goalie swap only I could see this being true but in this case I don't think its necessary.

Pit just lost in the 1st round singlehandedly because of their lack of depth in goal and MAF is going to win the Vezina this year. Pit is getting him for essentially free and they are cleaning up their contract glut on the back end on the long run.

I understand if you aren't personally a fan but there is enough valid reasoning on both sides to consider it a realistic option, even if you wouldn't personally take it.

The lack of a true top end piece depending on how you feel about Glass is there and other teams COULD beat it if they chose to. However I think VGK will be one of the most reckless in this regard so they are up there. I could also see Min, NYR, CAR and MTL being big players here as well. It'll be fun to see what happens

this is where this falls apart.
This is not why they lost. You can scape goat that narrative all day, but it's not why they lost.
You can't win games when you go out there, your best players get face washed every shift and can't produce.
There is a lot more wrong with the team than Jarry.
You clearly don't understand that part.
