I'd do Kadri + 1st with no retention, probably add the equivalent value of a 2nd round pick on top of that if you retain 50%. If they were both signed long term then I think the difference between Couturier and Kadri is huge but with them both being rentals I think a 1st is fair to make up the difference, then you can flip Kadri for more futures or try to extend him if he's willing

Yeah you're going to watch him walk away at free agency then if he's not signing, no way colorado pays that for a pending UFA

They’re way more likely to pay him whatever he asks than sell him for rental values. G is up too so they can pay him whatever he asks for. And he’s probably their most important player. So I’d ask for an NHLer, a GOOD prospect, and a 1 if he still says he wants to leave the only org he’s played in since he was 18. I’d bet they’d get it too. Selke winner in their 20s. Hell of a deadline add.
