I don't care if the Lightning are 20 million dollars over the salary cap, they've more than earned the right to celebrate a cup win in front of fans. Last year's ceremony was just weird.

Kucherov is leading the nhl in playoff points and it's not even close. And he didn't need to be under the cap.

The Leafs invented the 100-million dollar payroll. Do we not remember Robidas Island?

Seems pretty silly that its the worst thing the league has ever allowed when its the Lightning but nobody bats an eye when the Leafs do it.

I think people are just using the cap as a crutch. What people are actually mad about but they are not admitting is that Tampa is a well structured team and our largest LTIR contract was actually useful, if it was a robidas or a Horton contact people don't care. The fact of the matter is that Tampa took a page from Chicago's book of the Patrick Kane magic.

If you take Matthews on to LTIR do the leafs make the playoffs. . . .no.

People are just mad that our team is so deep we can actually play without our best forward because brisebois & Yzerman never gave out 8 digit contracts.

We win by drafting and smart trades, we don't overpay in freeagency.
