how is this realistic? we have enough LD and no desire for a rental, and trading tanev gives us a hole on the right side, and we need more goals, so trading tkachuk for marner, who scores less, doesn’t make any sense. we’re also not adding 4.5mil cap

Tkachuk has more goals than Marner.

Tkachuk is a lot better defensively/two-way/ 200 foot player.

Put Tkachuk(either brother) with Matthews and see his point totals equal or surpass Marner’s

Well to be fair, Tkachuks play-off performances havnt been any better. Atleast scoring wise!! Matt Tkachuk defiantly isn’t afraid of anything/anyone on the ice though!!
