This is just a horrible take all around. You realize Brannstrom outperformed Tippett offensively this year right? And Brannstrom’s 7 months younger and D typically take longer to develop than forwards. Brannstrom’s still on pace to be an elite offensive blueliner.

Purely from a sense of moving out a surplus at LD to fill a need at RW it could make sense. Cant say I love Tippett's game but it could make sense in theory.

The salaries are pretty close to what I’m thinking as well. I believe Batherson will sign a bridge deal, but I can see your take as a White similarity deal. I’ve recently changed my opinion of Tkachuk next deal down to $7MM X 8, and I have the other two a bit lower but under $1MM is close enough.

We have Jake Sanderson and Chabot on the left side. Our RW is weak. Thats the only reason I want to make the move.
