Not a fan of the Jones deal. Do I want Jones in Dallas? Yes, but I have a hard time essentially parting with two 1st Round Picks for a guy that they will either: A) likely lose next offseason, or B) force Klingberg out because we can't pay him as well as Jones.

If the cap were consistently going up year after year, I would be much more inclined to pull the trigger, but I would honestly rather keep Dellandrea, our 1st, & know that Dallas can sign Klingberg next offseason.

After Markström's erratic performance I think they need an established 2G. Korpisalo works quite well on that role.

Korpisalo was terrible this year, Markstrom had a concussion, the flames will not give up that much to get a backup

Everyone was terrible in Columbus this year and they're legit giving up a third round pick, fringe NHL D and swapping first rounders in 2021 and 2022.

Flames aren’t trading their first next year, they missed the playoffs this year. I’m pretty sure they’ll make it next year but injuries and other things can happen. That pick could be a good one.

      Agreed.

I mean, I couldn't care any less about Dellandrea (I'm not that high on him), but if anything close to this were to happen, Lindell and his cap would definitely need to be going the other way to even make it a possibility.
