ARI are high on Garland... I doubt they accept anything or fair value... only an overpayment in my opinion will take him out of Phoenix

. . . and factor in that this would be an intra-divisional trade, too. But adding Ryan Graves might do the trick. (Remember that Arizona has a third defenseman slot open on their protection list.)

If I’m the Avs I’m not trading Barron for a small winger that is going to play on the second line and 2nd pp. Barron is going to be so good, he fell in the draft because of clots and had a standard non-invasive surgery to fix, then tore up the Q, then in his short time in the AHL was a ppg dman. Throw in Garland needs a contract and is going to be $5M+ makes it even easier.

If the Avs are adding Graves, I would think maybe they downgrade Barron to Helleson in the offer. Helledon is good though, so maybe that is in the neighborhood.

In any case, I'm starting to warm to the idea of Garland on the Avs. Initially I thought he may not be worth the cost, but I like that he isn't seeking a huge contract (per what I saw reported somewhere).

Don't think ARI accept as it is, but by the same token I don't see the wisdom for COL to offer more than this.

I don't think that this is enough for Arizona: they trade away a player who is virtually certain to make an impact both this season and next and only get two futures who may or may not arrive in the NHL in 2023-2024.

since it just came out today that the Coyotes have been ignoring Garland....they cant be that high on him if they are doing that

"Frank Seravalli on TSN1260 - Coyotes asked Conor Garland’s agent to put together some salary proposals. He presented them two different options, that was on May 20. #Yotes haven’t even answered, haven’t responded, haven’t picked up the phone to even acknowledge they received them"...That signals to me for a guy that was already on the trade block, that they have no interest in keeping him.”
