BUF
  1. Fleury, Marc-André
  2. Krebs, Peyton
  3. Tuch, Alex
  4. Whitecloud, Zach
  5. 2021 1st round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Vegas has to get a 1C to really take them over the top. Eichel does that. They give up...
A) a really nice prospect in Krebs, but still have Glass and plenty of others in their system.
B) a big strong winger in Tuch. But still have plenty of wingers like Stone, Pacioretty, Smith, Marchessault, Carrier etc.
C) a strong goalie in Fleury, but had to facilitate that cap off their team if they wanted to make a move to get a stronger roster at center. They also will collect part of Buffalo’s return for sending Fleury to Pittsburgh.
D) Whitecloud who is a solid defenseman but they still have a deep enough group with Pietrangelo, Theodore, & McNabb. And also get a solid prospect in Laaksonen.
E) a late first which is mitigated by the returned pick from Buffalo’s facilitating a Fleury trade.
VGK
  1. Eichel, Jack
  2. Laaksonen, Oskari
Additional Details:
The Sabres send out Eichel and in return get
A) a top end prospect in Krebs who has some 1C potential
B) A forward in Tuch who can help bridge the rebuild and be a solid core guy for the room, is from the area (Syracuse) and adds a physical element the Sabres are lacking.
C) A goalie in Fleury who they will use to facilitate a trade for Vegas but still be able to get a younger but less talented goalie out of it.
D) a defenseman in Whitecloud who is younger but can become a staple in the bottom 4 of the defense.
E) A late 1st round pick in this years draft
2.
BUF
  1. Jarry, Tristan
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (PIT)
PIT
  1. Fleury, Marc-André ($3,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Buffalo retains salary and then trades Fleury for Vegas.
3.

Additional Details:
Vegas gets something out of the Fleury deal.

Love the concept. Value isn't outrageous overall but maybe a bit heavy asking for both Tuch and Whitecloud in the deal. Maybe replace one with a less valuable asset (Smith?).

I think it's more likely Glass gets moved before Whitecloud. Glass is on the outside looking in.

Vegas would love to get rid of an expensive one year rental player like Smith. Buffalo doesn’t really have much use for him.

I’d rather replace Whitecloud with Holden, as opposed to Tuch for Smith. I think Tuch/Krebs would be the centerpiece of any Eichel to Vegas deal.

I get it. Doesn’t have to be Pittsburgh, just a team looking for a goalie that Fleury would waive his NTC for.

Really? I would do that swap. Buffalo needs forwards moreso than defensemen anyways.

Not sure if they're willing to trade both Krebs and Glass, but Glass is probably more likely to be moved just because they don't seem very high on him right now.
