Anaheim offseason

Created by: eddyed24
Team: 2021-22 Anaheim Ducks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 28, 2021
Published: Jun. 28, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Ducks needs a center to take the pressure of Zegras to not burn him since he's going to be their future #1. RNH is the perfect candidate for that. They also need a goal scorer and Hoffman fills the bill perfectly since they were last last season on that department.

With RNH and Zegras, Ducks trade Henrique to any team in needs of a center. I've sign Getzlaf because I always like players that played their whole career to stay on the same team, so I'll do that with Getzlaf. Perry wouldn't hurt also their young players with two recent scf on his last two years.

And with their 3rd overall pick they pick Dylan Guenther who's foing to be their future goal scorer and Zegras will feed him the passes.

Besides that I don't expect many moves from Anaheim since they're expecting their touth to grow. Hoffman and RNH are plug holes

Not sure you're grasping Henrique's current value...

It's around a 3rd and change for Henrique (half retained). If you don't retain him, you're going to have to add a solid bit. He's already passed through waivers.

Half retained he more that a 3rd. The waivers bit means absolutely nothing.

No thanks on RNH. I’ll keep Henrique or trade for Reinhart or re-sign Getzlaf or sign someone else like Granlund before over paying for RNH.

Anaheim would be wise to sell Lindholm and Rakell this offseason.

I don’t like any contract that RNH is gonna get. He gonna get a raise and it’s gonna be too lengthy for a guy that’s been a bit of a roller coaster throughout his career. Point was I’ll take the shorter contracts of Henrique or Getzlaf or the lesser cap hit of Granlund or the like.

Rakell, yes. Lindholm, only if he says he wants to test UFA and even then I might keep him all the way thru to the deadline and maybe beyond. It would come down to how much value would allowing Drysdale to play with him have. If it helps Drysdale’s development immensely it might be worth keeping him around for the year. Lindholm so underrated because his point totals aren’t high. Just a debate on how much value he would provide Drysdale vs the trade return.

75% right: Rakell and either Lindholm or Manson.

I think they're all staying at least until the trade deadline. Lindholm as it said to help Drysdale' development, Manson stays to not put to much pressure on Drysdale and Rakell is their best goal scorer. For a team that failed to scored last season it wouldn't be a good thing to trade him right away.

For RNH I sign him because he could be a good mentor for Zegras. If they can't sign him then keep Henrique to not burn Zegras.

Oh i forgot about Manson, they should trade him too, move their most valuable trade chips for picks and prospects.

Well forgot about RNH, Ducks keep Henrique to be their #1 while Zegras keeps developing
