I took a serious look at savard , when I made my roster. I think he may fetch more in $. Tampa won’t be able to resign him.

I'd want more if I'm Seattle. One 2nd not to take Allen, one 2nd to take quitter Drouin and, as an example, Poehling as a player to use when Drouin quits....

Mental health is a huge issue in this world, and something that we as fans often overlook. To label him a quitter simply because he asked for space away from the game (something his teammates, at least publicly, fully support) may seem at best harsh and at worse ignorant to what's going on in the world. I am not judging you - nor will I ever - but I am also not about to judge an athlete who is, afterall, human.

He wore out his welcome in TB. Worked out ok, Sergachev, for TB. Asked for space in Montreal. Why wouldn't he ask for space in Seattle?? Why would Seattle take what could end up as 5.5 mil in dead cap?? The guy averages 14 goals per 80 games. Take Allen and move on...

I’ve seen you on multiple posts now and I can safely say you are definitely below average intelligence. Drouin is a playmaker. He gets assists. Averages 50 points a season. Drouin left the team for either Mental Health reasons or his wrist never fully healed or maybe a combination of both. Thinking a 50 point playmaker making 5.5 million is dead cap then you’re just a hater. Drouin wanted out of Tampa because he outperformed Palat and Killorn those playoffs and wanted a larger role on the team. He didn’t get that and didn’t want to be buried on the 3rd line so he asked out. He came to Montreal and instantly became the most talented player on the team since Kovalev. And you saw it last playoffs with Suzuki and early this season before his injuries that he can be a top line producer with talent surrounding him.

Then we agree to disagree on this topic. Allen is a great goaltender, but there will be a lot of very good goaltenders for Seattle to select in this draft. If Drouin were available and if I were Seattle, I would select him (though, if I am Seattle, I would make teams pay me for taking on term or cap-space. Drouin would cost anywhere from 2nd to a 4th. But again, that's just me).
