Apparently Foegele Privately Requested a Trade for a Bigger Role

Description
This is also according to Elliotte Friedman. I wonder if the key suitors are going to be non-playoff teams, particularly because Foegele wants to get a shot to play in the top-6.

why would dallas trade a good goalie for an overpaid, mediocre defenseman when they could simply keep khudobin as kraken bait and resign oleksiak for cheaper than gardiner?

Because Khudobin wasn't great this year and Oettinger took over his role. He's excess goods as it currently stands unless Bishop retires, and instead they can get a pick and a reclamation project with the same amount of term as Khudobin has on his contract.

I am sure Montreal would do something similar for Foegele and he would slot in nicely beside KK and Anderson

Toronto could be a nice replacement for Hyman and will get good playing time in the top 6

Detroit would be interested in Foegele if you want to reunite the Svechnikov brothers.

I'd just take the rights to Hamilton as Seattle. He would be a good franchise player for them and they'll have extra cap space as the expansion team to sign him especially if he's signing that cheap.

I heard Tarasenko will waive for Carolina. so maybe Tarasenko for Foegele, a prospect and 1st/2nd?

I'd rather the Stars pay another team with a draft pick to take on Khudobin (who is a damn good backup) if that's what it took, than take on Gardiner's contract.

The main reason Dallas is shopping Dobby is to lose cap not gain some, and certainly not a bad contract. If we have to pay a pick to lose him we’ll do that instead.
