Nucks

Team: 2021-22 Vancouver Canucks
Team Explanation
Canucks select Johnson at 9

Forwards:
Hoglander-Pettersson-Boeser
Hoglander is interchangeable, but this line should score goals and be responsible defensively as well.
Tatar-Miller-Foegele
Another line with offensive ability. Foegele gets the top six minutes he desires, and Miller gets 2c.
Pearson-Horvat-Podkolzin
A heavy third line that will be deployed in a mostly shutdown role. This top 9 fulfills Jimbos wish of three scoring lines.
Motte-Sutter-MacEwen
A relentless checking line that doesn’t have any liabilities. Sutter can be replaced, but I would rather keep him due to leadership purposes.

Defence:
Hughes-Hamonic
I predict a bounceback year defensively for Hughes. Green raves about Hamonic, and sees him as an ideal fit alongside the dynamic young defender.
Graves-Schmidt
Graves brings much needed size and grit to the blueline, and Schmidt compliments him well with a puck moving style.
Rathbone-Myers
The kid is let off the leash and is allowed to run wild. Myers can hold the fort in the defensive end and let Jack do his thing and develop.

Goalies:
Demko
He is the goalie of the future.
Brossoit
He is signed to a one year deal for stopgap purposes, so Dipietro isn’t rushed into a role he isn’t ready for.

I completely agree, there are better options in free agency for sure. I’m just going off of rumours

Olli Juolevi gets a better return from a team that doesn't need him than Graves does from a team that desperately needs him.

Boston has no interest, and if you heard they do stop listening to whatever you heard that from, in Holtby. They'd pay Brossoit twice what Van is offering him, save 3.75 real dollars and a 3rd rd pick, and get a much better goalie...

In what world is Kole lind worth less than a 5th round pick. Guy is an nhler with middle six upside. I was speculating with the holtby deal, as that was a rumour brought up today. I completely agree that Holtby isn’t a good goalie, but these are just things that i’ve consumed.

What rumors? Your the 3-4 person to say there is a rumor that Boston is interested in Holtby and not a single Bruins fan has heard this rumor.

no need to trade juolevi and we don't need tatar. would rather use that cap space for a better defenseman for hughes

boston does not want holtby the so called rumors are just people saying if holtby were to be traded, boston would be an option. Boston has many other options in free agency holtby would be a plan Z

COL isn’t doing that. A 3rd round pick in 2 years meaning absolute best case scenario is hopefully a NHL player in 5 years and a guy that would be behind, Jost, Nichushkin, Donskoi, Compher, LOC, Kaut, Bowers and Ranta in guys they already have. Easy no for COL.

Flyers wouldn't take the deal. We need Right handed guys that can play the right side.

So since NO ONE who says this is a rumor has been able to point me to anything, I did a quick google search. The "rumor" came from......a pair of podcast host that cover Vancouver and who I've never heard of and some random person on Twitter who just tweeted their comment.

So basically its not a rumor by anyone credible and if we're going to say that BS is a "rumor" than I'll start making up rumors left and right because clearly any **** thrown against the wall by anyone is a rumor in today's world

I think we would ask for an expansion exempt prospect, but the picks are probably enough without the player for Foegele
