Why are the Habs giving away Romanov for free? That's not happening.

Montreal has cap so they will hold onto Byron, instead of giving away Romanov. Johnson is not good value at 5m X 3. Don't trade for him and spend 5m wiser..

          Suggest a replacement.

Byron is a two year dump so Poehling alone isn't likely to be enough.

Detroit needs someone to play 2C and the prospects the trade brings are sorely needed. Currently there are only Raymond and Berggren and nothing else in GR.

Johnson has been much better this season. I don't mind taking his 3 years if I can get some good assets with him. If his play drops after year 2 then just buy him out. We need a decent 2C to take the pressure off Larkin. Rasmussen and Veleno aren't ready to fill that role yet and I don't want Fabbri playing 2C. He's much better on the wing.

Maybe not. The MTL deal is the one that brings the least value back of them all so if I'd have to scratch one deal that would be it. The objectives are pretty well all filled even without it.

I wanted to see what was possible to do if all of the cap we have was monetized to fill up the rather bare prospect cupboard.

I can’t see Toronto being interested in moving Holl for stecher let alone adding. Especially heading into the playoffs.

SEA might still take Name, but no one the Wings lose will really move the needle so it’s probably better to just hold onto the 3rd.

Im doubtful they will use the cap that aggressively is all. Maybe with covid behind them and money coming back in from the the stadium they get a bit more active.

Canes probably say yes. Pretty clear they’re going to move him and that’s probably an average offer they’d get. Svech likely doesn’t make the roster with the upcoming talent we have but if it makes little bro happy then why not

Carolina deal makes sense. Toronto deal I would pass on. Philly deal makes sense. We need help at LD but at this point Cholowski might be a better fit then Ghost. I would love for Detroit to take advantage of Tampa but I'm guessing Tampa deals directly with Seattle to fix their cap issues.

Don't see that Toronto trade making sense for Toronto. Two years wth a 2 million cap hit is too good to trade. Even though Stetcher is cheaper and you could retain half, they have to spend more next year to fill that hole.
