Description
The expansion draft is tough but I'd like to see us put up a pick or two to steer away from Ritchie, Clifton, and Lauzon. I think we'll protect Frederic and Debrusk. Wagner's time is up in Boston. He is a good 4th line player and will serve well at a decent cap hit.

Debrusk started off stronger in the playoffs. He folds under the top 6 pressure. He does better as the best player on the line. Put him on the 4th line and have him use his speed and hopefully add some finish to that line.

Garland would add some skill/finish that Coyle needs on his line. Would not come cheap. Added Urho V to take on Moore's salary. Arizona can buy Moore out at $1m a year or just take the hit for 2 years since they are trying to shed OEL's salary anyways.

Martinez would be the perfect fit for the Bs. Gives the Bs a top 4 d-man that can handle high minutes and put up decent numbers. Can swap around with Grizz depending on matchups. I'd like to add a big RD as well to either take Clifton's spot or be a healthy scratch. This would be a solid stay at home, PK specialist that could sub in for Carlo if he has more concussion problems.

I'd prefer a different goalie over Halak, but it'll be tough to pitch a goalie to come in knowing they will most likely only play until Rask comes back. After that they are probably going to the taxi squad. If we could get Reimer for the price I'd rather go that route, but Halak would come back at a discount and put up decent numbers.

I like it if you ditch ritchie.

I also think you either add on the left side of the D in UFA, or bring back Reilly, not both.

I agree that it's unlikely to get Reilly and another UFA unless it's a lower price one like Ian Cole or something, but Lauzon keeps getting hurt so I wouldn't want to rely on him too much.

Also the other option is put up Ritchie for the expansion draft and keep Wagner but it's tough to find a 10-15 goal scorer for $2-2.5. Ritchie does decent in front of the net on the power play and at least he puts up some points. Whether he can keep that up .... maybe not.

Players get hurt in the NHL, it happens. Bergeron kept getting hurt. Crosby kept getting hurt. McDavid kept getting hurt.

Don’t just expose ritchie, don’t even qualify him. He’s useless. There’s ten guys in providence that can do a better job.

some good thought went into this , players , term , $ all realistic except perhaps for the Garland trade, add another piece for taking Moore. Also think better off extending Rask and Krejci 1 year at a time.

Simple, realistic, and logical. This is what all AGMs should look like.

Well I think it's best to at least try and get some value for him, even if it means adding a pick to have Seattle take him and protect our other players. Out of anyone I wouldn't mind losing Ritchie, but I think the Bruins see something in him for some reason

Also what would you think of us trying to get Crouse from Arizona as well and he takes the 4th line with Frederic & Lazar?

Debrusk - Coyle - Garland
Crouse - Frederic - Lazar

He has no value. Can’t get value for something with no value.
