Really well thought out. This is the only kind of Eichel trade we should be making.

Buffalo would want Byfield. They want a guy with the potential to be elite 1C for an elite 1C.

If not there's gonna need to be a number of nice assets not just Turcotte and a 1st in a weak draft.

Low ball offer... not only is there no Byfield, there's also no Valardi and only one 1st round pick in a weak draft where there's been limited scouting.

Turcotte > Vilardi IMO. You can swap Vilardi for Turcotte if you want.

LA isn't trading Byfield. This is LA's best offer and if Buffalo insists on him, then LA will walk away.

If LA isn't moving Byfield Buffalo should be getting Turcotte and Vilardi.

    I'd want Turcotte, Vilardi, 2021 1st and the 2022 1st.

I'm sure Buffalo does want that, but if someone was willing to pay that, he would have been traded already. Their asking price is going to have to come down, otherwise they're going to have to keep him.

LA won't move Byfield and will only trade one of Turcotte or Vilardi. Add in a current roster player not named Kopitar, Doughty, Petersen, Anderson, or Bjofnot, and add another prospect (you can swap out Kupari for a prospect not named Byfield, Turcotte, or Vilardi if you so choose). You can choose between the #8 pick this year and a top 2 protected 2022 1st, keeping in mind that LA's 2022 1st will likely not be in the top 10.

Turcotte and 8OA is not enough for Eichel. Buffalo needs picks and high end prospects not roster players.

If that's the max offer Eichel isn't going to the Kings. Kings don't even need Eichel imo cause they already have Kopitar and Byfield. How many franchise 1Cs does a team need?

I feel like you conveniently left out the other two pieces included in the proposal (Walker and Kupari). Kupari would immediately be the best forward prospect on half the teams in the NHL. He doesn't get the respect he deserves since LA has 3 blue-chip guys in Byfield, Turcotte, and Vilardi and he comes in at #4. Walker is a quality 2nd pairing RHD. He was the best defenseman for Team Canada at the recent WHC and is signed to an incredibly team friendly contract for 3 more years.

Kopitar is 34 years old. He'll be relegated to the 3rd line before his contract is up. Having a 1C-2C punch of Eichel and Byfield is a strong start towards building a perennial Stanley Cup contender.

Walker doesn't have enough term to be anything for Buffalo other than a trade piece to a 3rd team. He has more value to LA than to Buffalo.

I'd rather the 2022 1st over Kuperi. Kuperi isn't even the 4th best forward prospect on the Kings imo. Prospects like him aren't that rare.

Walker has 3 years remaining on his deal? Players with deals longer than that are considered liabilities. Just look at guys like Matheson and Pettersson in Pittsburgh. He's better and cheaper and locked up for longer than both Risto and Miller. I'm not sure what else you want.

Los Angeles Kings’ Top 10 Prospects. Scroll down and see who #4 is.

Only because of the neck uncertainty; otherwise, it's not enough.
