I think Detroit takes that deal, mind you I don't know what the market for Bertuzzi is though. Also, Sandin, Brooks and Liljegren have to be given a chance to prove their ready.

Regular season champs? Cuz this team gets flushed in the first round. Especially after Seattle takes Kerfoot over Holl and Detroit hangs up

1st Detorit does even consider this trade for a second.

2nd if you do not know the market for Bertuzzi, how can you say they

Bertuzzi is a 1st or 2nd line winger with some grit, he also had 12 points in 9 games where the other two are 4th line winger and a 5 or 6th defenseman and had 24 points in over 100 games. So this trade is a crappy offer.

Toronto fans thinking there bottom wingers and defenseman are going to get other teams better players. Total arrogance.

This is not even remotely close for bertuzzi. Amirov or robertson plus 2022 first is the value here

I am going off of the return Detroit got for Athanasiou (Gagner and 2 picks) after he had similar numbers to Bertuzzi. I don't think Detroit sees Bertuzzi in their long-term plans; I don't see Yzerman paying the kind of money that Bertuzzi could get on a UFA deal. Dermott has the "potential" to be a top 4 DMan and is 2 years younger than Bertuzzi. When it comes to Engvall, he is also younger than I think he could put up good numbers playing top 6 minutes in Detroit and could be dealt at the deadline for even more assets. I was also unaware that you could add draft picks to a trade, I am new to this. What would you expect in return for Bertuzzi?

Well first Bertuzzi is a whole lot better than Athanasiou. Bertuzzi has more points than Kapanen in less games and Toronto got a 1st and 3 prospects. If you're going off of anything it would be that trade but you'd have to add since Bertuzzi is better than Kapanen. Honestly I don't see Detroit trading him. Bertuzzi not being in Detroit's plans means you don't really know the Wings that well. Unless you follow the Wings closely or are from the area you probably wouldn't know how much the Wings like him. Tyler has been a fixture around the Wings since his Uncle Todd was a Red Wing. Todd and Tylers Dad are still in the area and coach one of the Local AAA franchises where his cousins play. Detroit drafted him about a round before anyone else thought he would go to make sure they got him.

You asked what I'd expect for Bertuzzi and that brings it down to value. But the reasons why I don't see Bertuzzi being traded aren't about value.
