Umm, I think you meant to have Alex Turcotte in that trade. And even then, I'm not sure Tampa has to do it. They sure don't WANT to do it.

Clears cap to pull Kucherov off LTIR for next regular season. Plus a high pick is much more useful to a cap strapped team, they could easily get a 2nd-line player (Kent Johnson would likely be available at #8) on an ELC with that pick which helps them avoid a major cap crunch.
