Description

One under the radar move to improve the defence. Pesce is a good, young defensive defenceman that is further along in his development than Carrick and would allow Gardiner to play more to his strengths by playing the role of a security blanket for him. Corrado is then waived to make room for him.

I actually agree. I have made other proposals before centered around Kapanen aor Soshnikov but Leafs fans get mad at me lol. This trade is more about acquiring him as he would still be cheaper than Manson.

There might be trades available for Dmen before the expansion but it gonna be hard to make a deal by TDL. Teams in playoff contention aren't going to weaken themselves by trading current NHLers (Peace, Manson) for futures before the summer.
